Starting signal for intensified cooperation between holz.bau forschungs gmbH
and the HIZ Wood Innovation Centre in Zeltweg
For many years the Styrian Wood Network, consisting of proHolz, Holzcluster Steiermark and the HIZ Wood Innovation Centre in Zeltweg, has been in close cooperation with the competence centre holz.bau forschungs gmbH which is related to the Graz University of Technology. French delegation visits the HIZ Wood Innovation Centre
In March, the HIZ Wood Innovation Centre welcomed a French delegation at its premises in Zeltweg. Mr. Josef Bärnthaler and Mrs. Barbara Reichhold showed the guests around, explaining the basic principles of the Styrian Wood Network and its benefits for the entire value chain. Erster Italienischkurs am HIZ erfolgreich abgeschlossen

Former HIZ board member Kurt Leitner honoured
At the last HIZ supervisory board meeting on 20 June 2008, Mr. Kurt Leitner, former mayor of Zeltweg, announced his resignation from the board. HIZ CEO Ing. Joachim Reitbauer thanked Kurt Leitner with an honorary certificate for his support and wholehearted cooperation over the past years and presented him a wooden sculpture by the artist Hans Leitner made from original Styrian pine wood.... mehr Infos

Croatia – The timber (construction) land of the future!
The fact that more than 1,100 Croatian architects and engineers visited the wood congresses in Zagreb and Split surpasses all our expectations. However, Croatia belongs to those European countries with the most dynamic construction markets.
